Landschaft ohne Land

Am Anfang war der Raum leer. Also nicht ganz leer – Gips und Staub bedeckten den gekachelten Boden, zeichnen zarte Linien auf weißem Grund.

Ausgehend von diesem Ort lasse ich einen neuen Raum wachsen. Gearbeitet wird mit Materialien, die sich vor Ort finden lassen. Mit Gips wird der Boden abgeformt und mit anderen Lichtspielen und Fundstücken aus der Umgebung in Beziehung gesetzt. Kleine Motoren setzen die entstehende Landschaft in Bewegung, verwandeln das scheinbar Unscheinbare des Ortes in ein absurdes Spiel von Materialien und Formen.

In the beginning, the room was empty. Well, not completely empty - plaster and dust covered the tiled floor, drawing delicate lines on a white background.

Starting from this place, I let a new space grow. I work with materials that can be found on site. The floor is moulded with plaster and placed in relation to other plays of light and found objects from the surroundings. Small motors set the resulting landscape in motion, transforming the seemingly unremarkable nature of the place into an absurd interplay of materials and forms.
